'Love your neighbor as yourself'

Some times I find myself repeating the same old mistakes. Driving down the highway upset because the car in front of me is going 5 under the speed limit instead of 5 over. The woman at the grocery store has 7 items, but pays with a check that has to be pre-approved, and I have to be at work in 3 min. So I continuously sigh aloud as if to let them know I am not happy. I look over at my husband driving the car wondering why he just hit another curb, when I myself ran a red flashing light yesterday. I wonder why a co-worker gets away with all their failed duties. Why? Why? Why?

Why not go 5 under the speed limit to spend that extra 10 min. in the car with your wife who just found out she had cancer.

Why not pay with your pre-approved checks when that's all you have because the bank forgot to mail your new order of checks in the mail, and you have 3 little kids at home hungry for the 7 items that you just bought.

Maybe he did hit another curb, but was distracted by what you were saying to him at the time; Or even your beautiful eyes.

Yeah, your co-worker messed up again, but you have been there 4 years and if they counted all your mistakes you would have been gone along time ago. They showed you grace where's yours?

I think we all get frustrated at times, just think about how God must feel every time we sin and say I am sorry, or fail another test and blame him for letting us go through it.
How about when he was calling us to him and we ignored him time and time again.
What about when we say we have repented and continue to do the same sin over and over then laugh as if God is laughing with us "He is looking down at me thinking
"Oh, that child of mine is a little rascal."
No, I don't believe he is. That's one way for us to try and excuse what we know is wrong, but IT'S still wrong. To repent is to change our hearts, to be sorry for what we have done, ask for forgiveness.
If we have truly changed our hearts we will no longer continue to do the same sins. I am not saying we will be perfect. However I am saying we will not continue the same patterns.
The more we desire God the more we read, pray, and become more in his image which means less sinful nature. It is never okay to sin no matter what kind. We should never joke about us and our sinful nature.
God does not laugh at sin. Who are we to always point out others mistakes instead of looking at our own. He wants us to love each other as ourselves 2nd Commandment is to 'Love your neighbor as yourself. We must pick up our cross and carry them. If we have truly done so. We will continue to change for the image of God a waits.
